Parking at Amsterdam

Parking at Amsterdam

Amsterdam is one of Europe's most beautiful cities, famous for its canals, historic architecture, world-class museums and lively atmosphere. From The Butchersfarm, Amsterdam is only a 35 to 45-minute drive away, making it an ideal destination for a day trip during your stay.

If you are travelling by car, the most economical way to visit the city is by using one of Amsterdam's Park & Ride (P+R) facilities. Our preferred option is P+R Noord, located just off the A10 ring road at exit S116. From here, Metro Line 52 (the North/South Line) takes you to Amsterdam Central and the city centre in approximately 15 minutes.

P+R Noord offers discounted parking rates when you meet the municipality's conditions. In most cases this means continuing your journey to and from the city centre by public transport and following the official P+R rules. Arriving after 10:00 on weekdays, or at weekends and public holidays, generally gives access to the lowest parking rate.

Because P+R Noord is one of Amsterdam's most popular parking facilities, it can fill up quickly during busy periods. We recommend checking the live parking availability before leaving.

Official information about P+R Noord:

If P+R Noord is full, P+R Boven 't Y is an excellent nearby alternative with the same convenient Metro Line 52 connection to the city centre.

Using a Park & Ride is the easiest way to experience Amsterdam while avoiding expensive city-centre parking and busy traffic.
